CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST HADITHA MARINES

Where do these guys go to get their good names back?
LOS ANGELES (al-Reuters) - A U.S. Marine general dropped all charges on Thursday against two Marines in the shooting deaths of 24 civilians in Haditha, scene of what Iraqi witnesses said was a massacre by American troops.
The dismissal of charges means neither Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt nor Capt. Randy Stone will face a court-martial in connection with the events at Haditha, which have brought international condemnation of U.S. troops.
Don’t forget: Chicken Jack Murtha called these Marines “cold-blooded killers” before any investigation had taken place. Murtha based his claim solely on Drive By media reports planted by jihadists. Imagine an American politician during World War II blasting Allied troops based on reports from the Nazis or the Japs.
In dismissing the charges against Sharratt and Stone after what he said was an exhaustive review, Lt. Gen. James Mattis cited the difficult battle conditions and a “shadowy enemy” whose forces hid among civilians.
“With the dismissal of these charges Lance Cpl. Sharratt may conclude that he did his best to live up to the standards, followed by U.S. fighting men throughout our many wars, in the face of life or death decisions made in a matter of seconds in combat,” Mattis said.
“As he has always remained cloaked in the presumption of innocence, with this dismissal of charges, he remains in the eyes of the law — and in my eyes, innocent.”
Bryan Preston at Hot Air contacted Chicken Jack’s office. The congressman’s office hung up on him.
So much for the apology Chicken Jack owes these two Marines.
Says Preston:
When he wasn’t busy over the past year or so arguing that we ought to fight al Qaeda in Iraq from our bases in Okinawa and Diego Garcia, Rep. Jack “Abscam” Murtha has been busy stuffing his face with pork, behaving questionably over appropriations and smearing US Marines. Now that three of the Marines Murtha prejudged to be guilty of cold-blooded murder have been cleared of all charges, Murtha ought to answer for what he has been saying about them.
Agreed. But being an anti-American lefty means never having to say you’re sorry.

Salute to Lt. General James Mattis who clearly understands warfare and clearly doesn’t make decisions based upon the mob mentality of the msm and those who pander to them like Jack Murtha and others of his party.

I’d consider a (slander? libel? defamation? whatever’s appropriate) lawsuit against Murtha by the soldiers to be most un-frivolous.

So you support throwing Marines doing their jobs and fighting terrorists under the bus just to win the hearts and minds of those terrorists?
Point is, what the enemy alleged to have happened didn’t happen. But you America- and troop-hating twits always believe enemy lies about our military.
Go enlist with Al Qaeda, for Christ’s sake.
