MOONBATS BOMB MILITARY RECRUITING OFFICE

But they say they support the troops.

Anti-military moonbats set off a small bomb at a U.S. military recruiting office in Times Square.

NEW YORK (al-AP) - A small bomb caused minor damage to an empty military recruiting station in Times Square early Thursday, shaking guests in hotel rooms high above “the crossroads of the world.”

Police blocked off the area to investigate the explosion, which occurred at about 3:45 a.m. No one was injured. The blast left a gaping hole in the front window and shattered a glass door, twisting and blackening its metal frame.

Authorities said at a news conference that a witness saw a person on a bicycle wearing a backpack and acting suspiciously, but that no one saw a person place the device in front of the recruiting center.

“If it is something that’s directed toward American troops than it’s something that’s taken very seriously and is pretty unfortunate,” said Army Capt. Charlie Jaquillard, who is the commander of Army recruiting in Manhattan.

He said no one was inside the station, where the Marines, Air Force and Navy also recruit.

Police are looking for a man on a bicycle wearing a hooded sweatshirt who had been acting suspiciously prior to the blast.

One person told police he saw a person in a dark clothing with a hood, wearing a backpack and riding a bicycle “in a suspicious manner” near the building moments before the blast, according to Commissioner Ray Kelly.

Mayor Bloomingidiot weighs in:

The fact that this appears deliberately directed at the recruiting station insults every one of our brave men and women in uniform stationed around the world fighting to defend our freedoms and the things that we hold so dear.

The moonbats have been targeting military recruiting offices for years with acts of violence and have pretty much gotten away with their actions. Even celebrated and excused in some quarters.

Remember the attack on the Army recruiting station near UW-Milwaukee? You can read more about it here. A mixture of young adults and teenagers taught how to hate America and its military by God knows who. The only elected Democrat official to condemn the UWM attack was state Sen. Jeff Plale. Not Mayor Barrett. Not Gov. Doyle. Not Sen. Feingold. Not Sen. Kohl. Not any Democrat member of the House of Representatives.

And the thugs and criminals who attacked the UWM Army Recruiting office pretty much got away with it, since the DA’s office had no inclination to prosecute.

That’s why these people keep pushing the envelope. Now it’s a bomb in an empty office. What’s next?

  • Yep. This reminds me of the sixties. Sort of.

What’s missing is the wide-spread, gut-wrenching hatred of the American military.

Today, outside of Berkeley, the University of Colorado, and Amherst (five square miles entirely surrounded by reality), and a few other bastions of relevance, anti-Americanism of the spit-on-the-troops sort seems to be dead.

Can’t say that I’m sorry about that.

Meanwhile, at least we don’t get all our information from the alphabet-soup networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS).

And I think that you may admit that it can be fun, watching dedicated “journalists” tying themselves in knots, trying not to state the obvious.

For that matter, someone could sell tickets for the right to watch Harvard administrators wrestling with a terrible dilemma:
    * Members of a non-western minority group want a privilege that flouts contemporary American values;
    * The privilege involves coeds not putting on a jiggle-and-bounce show for the guys during workouts.

  • Just keep waiting. This won’t be the last attack on military recruiting stations, military members, or anyone that openly supports the military.

  • Attempted terrorist attack in Times Square army re

Terrorist activity is lurking in the Big Apple. No one was in the army center when it happened, but the bomb itself was definitely felt nearby
