SPITZER’S SUCCESSOR MAY EVEN BE WORSE
If possible, the incoming governor of New York may even be more liberal than Eliot Spitzer.
From JammieWearingFool via Michelle Malkin, we learn that Lt. Gov. David Paterson once sponsored a bill requiring police to shoot to harm rather than to kill and another bill allowing non-citizen residents to be able to vote in local elections.
March 12, 2008 — ALBANY - The man who will be governor, David Paterson, once sponsored highly controversial legislation in the state Senate requiring police to shoot to harm, not kill.
The current lieutenant governor, a Democrat from Harlem, also pushed a bill that would have allowed non-citizen residents to vote in local elections.
Typical list of lefty goals and positions to boot:
Paterson supports gay marriage, legalized abortion, embryonic stem cell research, and rent control. He opposes the death penalty.
It’s the People’s Republic of New York. What else did you expect?
