FOREST LAKE PRINCIPAL A LYING CRAPWEASEL

From Cory, a commenter on my original post on the cancellation of the appearance of real American heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan at a Minnesota high school, comes this:

Dan Riehl at Riehl World View unmasks Steve Massey, the linguini-spined principal at Forest Lake High School to be — surprise, surprise — a lying crapweasel. And a partisan lefty hack to boot.

His most recent assignment prior to coming to Forest Lake was with an alternative high school with an suspiciously leftwing agenda. The PEASE Academy, which stands for Peers Enjoying A Sober Education, emphasizes among other things, from its website, the lefty social worker concept of restorative justice.

P.E.A.S.E. Academy practices restorative justice for behavioral problems as well as sobriety issues. This process empowers students to be reflective and to learn the skills of working through problems with those who have been hurt by their actions. P.E.A.S.E. Academy uses the restorative justice model to settle conflicts and disputes, deal with the occasional disciplinary issues, as well as help the community gain deeper understanding through hearing everybody’s voice.

More idiocy from the advocates of conflict resolution. The same type of tactics they want the United States to use in resolving its conflict with the Islamic jihadists.

Riehl notes that the PEASE Academy offers:

… courses in politics and ecology, with a significant emphasis on Human Rights. So much so, that they were even able to discuss the Iraq War prior to the invasion as part of classwork.

But he has a problem with presenting the truth about the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns to students at his new school.

And from Allahpundit at HotAir comes this revelation from David Bellavia of the Vets For Freedom:

One of the subplots here is parents possibly worrying about their kids wanting to enlist after hearing VFF speak. Imagine: career guidance at a high school.
